An E-commerce UX/UI Case Study

The problem:
Low conversion rate. An e-commerce site selling cookware has users finding and researching items, putting them in the cart, but not completing the purchase. Preliminary research indicates that the site needs to streamline purchases with a guest checkout option.

The solution:
Create a seamless checkout flow including guest checkout, and to design it all in an intuitive fashion, by imitating processes and UI from sites familiar to the users. In other words, to copy from the greats.

My role:

Although I specialize in user research, on this project, I conducted qualitative and quantitative research, created a demo website, designed the wireframes, wireflows and prototypes, and validated the designs through moderated guerilla and usability testing. In other words, for this project,
I created everything by carefully studying and imitating the work of the UX masters at Target and Amazon.

Tools used:

Miro, Figma, Zoom, Google Sheets, Google Docs, sketching.

What has been will be again,
What has been done will be done again;
There is nothing new under the sun.
